Another funny Ethan Story:
Today EB was taunting the dog and quite honesty getting on both mine and the dogs nerves, so I told him to stop and he continued. I grabbed him and tickled him and said "You want a piece of me?
Without missing a beat he said in a funny squeaky voice, "You dare point a gun at me. Do you want a piece of me? I'll tear you apart."
Apparently he is a little obsessed with Transformers and has most of the movie memorized. He was mimicking Ironhide.
This kid keeps us in stitches. Some days I think he might have just a little TOO much personality!

Ticks
Upon walking in the door this evening, Caleb and Declan informed me that Winston had a tick. I had to take a moment and collect myself. I hate ticks.
They then showed me exactly where the engorged tick was on Winston's neck. I almost threw up, felt woozy and left the room. I hate ticks!
Caleb and Declan then researched how to remove the tick and gathered the supplies - surgical gloves, tweezers, rubbing alcohol, sealing container - and performed THE procedure. I hid upstairs. Did I mention, I hate Ticks?!
Once the procedure was complete they came to report to me that it had gone well and that they had checked the dog and made sure he was now tick free. They felt the need to show me the tick floating in alcohol in a sealed container. I almost it that time, for sure. Really, I hate ticks!
I was proud of Caleb and Declan for working so well together. I heard Caleb thanking Declan for helping with the procedure. They said they felt like "House". It's moments like that that show you how they can work well together, in moments of crisis. It's moments like that that make me feel like we've done pretty well with these kids. It's moments like these that make me think that I need to live somewhere where there are no ticks!
Heavenly Father, I know you had a plan, but Ticks???? What were you thinking?! I'd have you explain it to me, but I'm afraid I'd probably get nauseous again.
I hate ticks!

Victorious!
Tonight the older boys and Steve were out for Boys Night at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Final Four Game. Ethan had been trying to convince me that he needed to have some more of his Cadbury Easter Egg that was in the refrigerator for two reasons 1) so that it doesn't melt and 2) so I can keep an eye on how much sugar and chocolate he digests - he is hyper enough. EB hadn't been successful in his negotations with me for more chocolate. I headed upstairs to do something, but half way up had a sneaking feeling that he might be up to no good. Quietly I came down the stairs and along the hall to the kitchen, just in time to see Ethan with the fridge door open and the chocolate egg in his hands while he proclaimed "Victory is Mine!!!"
We have no idea where he gets his phrases from, but he keeps us plenty entertained.
