Two Cute Guys at a Soccer Game

A friend of mine, Linda, sent me these candid shots she took while at one of Madison's soccer games.

I love how they show off their personalities so well.

This little boy is too cute, even when he's doing one of his many quirky faces. The picture shows off his goofiness, yet still how he remains so cute.

Steve would hate this picture and would complain about needing a diet, and the effects of age. I love it. It shows him relaxed (which can be hard for him to do), enjoying his daughters game, and then there is that gorgeous smile. I love that smile! It shows his easy going nature and warmness that he often tries to hide.

A friend of mine recently lost her husband suddenly at a very young age. Ever since I've heard the news I've found myself taking a little longer look at the Cute Guy and memorizing certain things about him. Wanting to take mental snapshots of him in case I should ever lose him, which I pray I will not. As I hug him good bye, I hold him a little longer and memorize his smell. Admire his gentle way with our children and the joy he takes in them. Take time to cherish your loved ones this week and remember to give thanks for having them bless your lives.

Been Busy

Summer has been too much fun and way too busy.

So, we've ditched our plans to head to DC and heading to the cabin in Drummond Island. This is where we'll be hanging out until Labor Day. May get a post or two in before we go - but can't promise.

Can't wait to play on the island, relax with a good book, hang out in the hot tub while watching the sun set over the Great Lakes, boat, fish, atv, and explore. Most importantly, just chill.
